<lj:music>Bad Manners - Can Can</lj:music>

Right, I have an interview today at 2pm in Marlow, Bucks. It seems that the world is conspiring against me....

There are no direct trains OR roads due to flooding. Plus I hate driving -_-
Went to phone the national rail help, but had no credit. o2's Phone top up service is handily down!

So. Im risking trying to access Marlow Via London, which seems an ok solution. As long as I can locate Paddington Station. Im so not spending an hour on the tube going from Euston to Paddington when its only 2 miles away.

*edit* On the plus side, for the frist time in my life, I've managed to do a proper winsor knot. yay!.

**edit2**

Well... After a scenic route there I arrived on time. It was "goodbad" ...... They had kind of mislead me as to what the job was, it was almost all sales with a really low salary and everything else commission. They had us doing all sorts of presentations etc, so not all that enjoyable. I was one of the four who they didnt pick ... BUT
after the lady had sent the other three away I got told that I wasn't the right type of person for sales and that I was "too bright" for it. So they want me to go back again ( -_- the saga!) at some point to do a more technical job with an actual salary.
So in someways it was a hefty and stressful waste of a day, but at least I know that I am wanted...!

    <lj:music>THE SCANTY - ROCK'N ROLL PRINCESS</lj:music>

Yay! Final Fantasy V advance arrived on friday, and its sooo cool!
By far the best version of FFV to date, more so than even the original fansub!
I love how it is actually challenging and you can (shock!!!) quite easily die in boss fights. Its even possible to wander into areas that are far to high levelled for you - something missing from most FF games.

Its my favourite so far of the GBA re-makes!
The only thing that does bug me still is the translation of "Kururu" to "Krile"... The fansub "Cara" was nicer, or even something like Karla would have been better than Krile. Ah well!

the best thing is that ......... IT'S EXDEATH! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! No more X-death and N-Zone... or the dreaded Y-Burn (wyvern....)

*death to Kazuyoshi Tashiro and his spastic translation team*

Even I could have figured out something that romanised to (im guessing here) waiburun with a picture of a dragon would be a wyvern. -_-
(although its amusing to think that if this team had translated FFIX, Vivi would have been Bibi XD )

In other news I now own a bright orange knitted hoodie. Its not even half as bad as it sounds.

*waits for FFIIIDS to be delivered*

Star Trek Nemesis Musage

For some reason, I had never seen Star Trek Nemesis until just now, and I have to say it does keep in line with past crappy Trek films.
The thing that makes it worse, however, is that it seems to have blatent discontinuties with how star trek is / should be, including:

* Landing upon a pre warp planet, then engaging the natives in combat..
* Data and Law were meant to be the only androids...
* Flimsy as hell "new" enterprise which seems to have skipped a few generations backwards in terms of technology and shielding.
* If Janeway is now admiral Janeway, then the super tech that future Janeway bought back should surely be incorperated into all new starships.. But alas, no starship shell-shield to ward of the Remans..
*Why do the Romulans and Remans call themselves Romulans/Remans from Romulus/Remus when they have their own names etc for themselves that they used to use? The Klingons do?
* Why do the computers now flicker when the ship gets hit?? And why did all the monitors go off in the green nebula thing?!
*Warf back again?
* SUPER TROY MIND SKILLZ??
*Geoffries tubes that lead to The Empire Strikes back-esque bottomless pits..

And also why havent we seen data flying in space before? This needs to be!

I've just had the drenching of a lifetime coming home from work! I was thoroughly pissed upon by the heavens and experienced a bizarre phantom lightning experience where I had a huge static shock just as some lightning flashed, and I momentarily convinced myself that I had been struck by lightning.

So i promptly degarbed and had a nice hot shower when I got home. My socks, trousers and coat are currently STUCK to the radiator, they are that wet.

(Excitement)

I've decided I now actually dislike Square Enix Europe + Sony Europe intensly.
Release lineup (according to Sendit, Play and Amazon):

FFXII 23rd Feb 2007
Dirge of Cerberus december 2006
KH2 OCTOBER 2006
FFIII sometime 2007
No mention of FFVa

This is so dumb. The PS3 will be well out before we get FFXII, and will possibly be out by the time we get KH2 as well. Thank god for no-region DS/GBA!

and yet..
"Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) This item will be released on 17 November, 2006. Pre-order now!
